I’ll send the bride a text when I arrive to let her know I’m on site. If the ceremony is taking place in a church, I’ll come to the bride’s house first. A quick knock on the door to see if everyone’s decent and that’s my cue to to capture everything feminine and fun.
Shoes, jewellery and flowers all get their turn before I turn my camera to the bride’s hair and makeup – and, of course, the dress itself. When photographing the dress I always take special care in handling it, often asking the bride or a bride’s maid to do the honours, to make sure that nothing disturbs it’s intricate detail.
Bridal preparation is always elated, girly and often chaotic. It plays a big part in building the atmosphere for the day, and it’s a great way to begin the storybook album of your wedding.
I’m always flexible on the day, so I can adjust accordingly to get you the best pictures of the all preparations.
